The piping systems shall be tested to at least 1.5 times the maximum operating pressure. Burner systems shall be leak tested to at least 1.5 time the maximum operating pressure or a minimum of 5kPa, whichever is the higher. The methods and frequency of testing shall be specified in the instruction handbook. (Reference to SANS 329:2008, Paragraph 5.2.1.7 Testing)
Is it clear that all new thermoprocessing installations must be tested to 7 Bar for a period of 24 hours?
